Digital X-ray: what patients should know
Digital X-ray replaces chemical film with electronic detectors. For patients, that usually means faster availability of images and cleaner copies for sharing with doctors.

Safety basics
Every exposure should be justified. Lead protection may be used for regions not being imaged when appropriate. Children need especial care with repeat examinations.
Results
Reports
A hard-copy report is usually ready within 15–20 minutes after the scan. Soft copies can be downloaded from the Reports page with your Patient ID for 3 days after upload — please save the file to your device.
