Color Doppler ultrasound in Hisar
Color Doppler is an ultrasound technique that shows direction and pattern of blood flow using colour overlay on the grey-scale image. At Dr. Pareek's USG & Color Doppler Centre in Rishi Nagar, Hisar, Doppler studies are performed when your clinician requests flow information — not as a routine add-on to every scan.
Color Doppler vs normal ultrasound
Standard ultrasound shows structure (organs, fluid, soft tissue). Color Doppler adds information about moving blood in arteries and veins. Your report may describe whether flow is present, dampened, reversed or turbulent, depending on the vessel and clinical question. For a patient-friendly comparison, see also our article Color Doppler vs normal ultrasound.
Common reasons a doctor orders Doppler
- Limb vessels — swelling, suspected deep vein concerns, or arterial flow questions as referred
- Carotid or selected neck vessels when clinically indicated
- Selected abdominal vessels as requested on the referral
- Obstetric Doppler only when the obstetrician requests it for a clinical indication (PCPNDT rules still apply)
The exact vessels scanned follow the referral. This page does not list every possible study or guarantee a diagnosis.
Preparation
- Preparation depends on the body area. Some abdominal Doppler studies need fasting; limb Doppler often does not.
- Wear clothing that allows access to the area being examined.
- Bring the referral note, photo ID and any prior Doppler or ultrasound reports.
- If instructions are unclear, call +91 90348 87417 or +91 70159 59306 (call only) before you travel.
What happens during the study
Gel is applied and a probe is moved over the skin. You may hear pulse-like sounds from the Doppler. The examination is usually painless. Findings are documented for your referring doctor; the scan supports clinical decisions and is not a substitute for a full consultation.
Equipment, doctor & reports
Ultrasound and Doppler work is performed on a GE Voluson system with multi-probe support, under Dr. Mahendra Pareek, MBBS (SPMC Bikaner), MD Radio-diagnosis (GMC Kota).
